LIFE MATTERS – Why Your Life is like The Matrix and Why You Should Take the Red Pill Now.

Most people are familiar with the scene in The Matrix where Keanu Reeves is presented with a choice:

either take the “blue pill” where the story ends and Keanu will remain living in the fabricated reality that the Matrix has created – not realizing the true nature of things;

or take the “red pill” and escape the illusion and live in the real world.

Keanu Reeves wants to know the truth so he takes the red pill – but which would you take?

What if you could connect back to the REAL YOU – you know the one you may have seen glimpses of when you were young?

Or what if you could reignite the fire that you may have had when you finished school with everything possible ahead of you.  The fire that has gradually burned less over time to the point it may be at the verge of being extinguished.

What if you could feel inspired and motivated every day because you’re working toward something you really believe in?

What if you could break free from the daily grind and really create the change you want?

You see, today more than ever there is so much information that enters our every day life that we are constantly trying to process and evaluate it all.  From the Internet, to TV, music, government, friends, family, social media and on and on and it all fights for our minds.

With all these mixed messages, the mind tries hard to process it all and we move toward a way of life that reflects our interpretation of it.  Worse yet, our friends, families and co-workers set expectations and influence our decisions.  At some point you realize that all along your actions are really based on:

What other people want – not what YOU want!

You see, today it’s very easy to set goals around what others want EXTERNALLY rather than what you want INTERNALLY.

What’s the difference?

Have you ever experienced a time when you enjoyed what you were doing so much you didn’t notice how much time had passed?

Have you ever felt joy and happiness that was uninhibited?

Have you ever felt what you were doing had real meaning?

When you set goals that are external, they may provide short-term happiness, but in the long run you’re left unfulfilled and wanting.

So what’s the key?

Connect to what has true meaning for you INTERNALLY and set your goals from there.

Here’s how to do it:

Action-Steps: Answer the questions below and see if you can identify your true purpose.

·      What do you really want in life?  Make a list and start each entry with:
       “I want to …..”

·      When have you been at your happiest?  Why were you so happy?

·      Who do you admire most?  Why do you admire them so much?

·      If you could pick one contribution that you made to the world before your life is over, what            would it be?

Now, look at your answers and see how far you are from what you want?  Can you get there?

The key is to take action NOW to move yourself toward the ultimate you, the REAL you.

Life is too short.  Don’t waste a single minute more!
